Hello I am a first year engg. student and interested in programming. I only know C, C++ and haven't done Java. I want to know what the best way to learn android programming is? Is knowing Java a requirement? What is the best SDK out there and also good programmer forums and tutorial websites. I'm a beginner, and would like to do this as a hobby or even part time job. Thank you.|||To program on the Android Platform, you need to know Java. If you know C and C++ then Java is not that hard to pick up. There is only one SDK and that is from Google, but it is free and easy to setup. There are a number of tutorials on youtube, that will guide you from installing to actually developing.|||Since you are a beginner learn java properly.... and its not that difficult to study android:)
